****NATIONAL JUNIOR GRADE III PARA SHOWJUMP CHAMPION****

I've had the busiest time the last couple of weeks but worth every minute.I attended ponyclub camp for 5 days which was a huge achievement following my recent ACE operation! Mum set up a wet room in our horsebox where I did my ACE and it went great. This was something we were scared of doing but now we can go anywhere. Before camp I attended Revesby Country show and won the 14.2 pony jumping class.(This meant so much as last year I was in hospital due to impaction and couldn't go).The very next day after camp we travelled to Stoneleigh National Championships for me to compete in the National para showjumping. My borrowed pony-Penshaws Partytime achieved the fastest double clear and I was awarded Junior grade III Para Champion. It has been a huge challenge to manage all my issues at these events but so worth it as I now have the confidence to go anywhere. We did a reccy of the venue as soon as I arrived to plan for any sudden problems. Mum always carries a rucksack with extra jods and my medical supplies as it's not unusual for me to change between first round and jump off.The only problems I've had recently is some pain caused by flesh growing inside my ACE site.It makes putting the tube in really painful even though I have a stopper in all the time-hopefully this will settle but if not it will need sorting out in hospital.I have a week at home and will hopefully fit some more training in plus catch up on sleep. We will then be off to another National Showjumping competition that incorporates para. The Alexanders Scope Showjumping Festival.I'm thrilled how much support I've received from being open about my health issues and look forward to some more planned talks about hidden disabilities.Loving life at the minute!
